Traditional Japanese Umbrella Making Experience

Umbrellas have a long and deep connection with traditional Japanese life and culture. There are several kinds of Japanese umbrellas.
However, due to the dramatic changes in Japanese lifestyles, it has become increasingly uncommon to see someone with a Japanese umbrella in their hand.
To provide a chance for people to learn more about Japanese umbrellas, Hiyoshiya offers an excellent umbrella studio experience and mini-umbrella making experience. English instruction is available. Reservations are required in advance.
