“Oji Dengaku” in Oji shrine

It is traditional art said to that Oji Dengaku began in 1322. Children dancers wearing colorful Hanagasa (flower hats) hold Sasara, a small drum, and dance to the accompaniment of the melody of drums and flutes while changing formation. It is reminiscent of the atmosphere of the Medieval Period. This festival is an Intangible Folk Cultural Property (folk performing arts) designated by Kita Ward.
