What is Maiko ?
A maiko is a woman who keeps the traditional culture of Kyoto alive in our modern world. Meeting a maiko in person is a rare opportunity, even Kyoto residents find it’s difficult. However, with this tour, you are able to interact with one closely. Enjoy a leisurely chat with a maiko with a meal of Kyoto cuisine. Wouldn’t you like to spend some time with a maiko?
Maiko Dinner Show with a Homey Atmoshere
The Tour banquet is held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. It is open for multiple parties to enjoy the event together. The master of ceremonies will carry out the proceedings in both English and Japanese. The tour also includes a maiko dance performance and ozashiki-asobi (games played with maikco) for you to enjoy, as well as a time to chat with the maiko. You may freely take pictures and video during the event, and there will be time for commemorative photographs at the end. The fees for the Main Tour include your meal and an all-you-can-drink plan (including alcoholic beverages), and no other charges will be necessary.
