English Sightseeing Tour in Bunkyo

Bunkyo City is pleased to offer foreigners a walking tour, organized by Bunkyo English Volunteer Guides. Visiting Spots: 1. Bunkyo Civic Center. Enjoy the wonderful view from the top of Bunkyo Civic Center. Tokyo Skytree, for example, comes into sight! Plus, you may be able to see Mt. Fuji covered with snow, if you are lucky. 2.Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens, where you can enjoy plums in full bloom. One of the major Daimyo (feudal lord) gardens in Tokyo, built by Mito Tokugawa family in the early Edo period. Also on February 25th, “Oedo-Tamasudare” a street performance in which the performer transforms a specially- made bamboo screen into various shapes while chanting an accompanying poem; a popular entertainment that began in the Edo period will be performed at 12 pm and 1:30 pm at the Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens, at the Matsubara area.
