In commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the Yui Honjin Park / Shizuoka City Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art, a special exhibition featuring Ukiyo-e of the Tōkaidō by Utagawa Hiroshige, as well as an exhibition introducing the post towns of the Edo period and the stations on the railway constructed after the Meiji period will be open. Post towns along the Tōkaidō developed greatly during the Edo period with the crossing of many people but the road made radical changes in the Meiji period after the construction of the railway. Explore the history behind the post towns along the Tōkaidō and the stations of the Tōkaidō Line, as well as the construction of Tōkaidō Main Line.
