Tenka-Taihei – Pax Tokugawana and the Shoguns’ role in the birth of a new culture

This exhibition introduces the role played in Edo culture by successive Tokugawa shoguns through paintings and calligraphic works personally created by the shoguns, as well as artworks by shogunate craftsmen, passed down by the heads of the Tokugawa family.
