23rd Fiesta Mexicana 2024 in Odaiba Tokyo

The Fiesta Mexicana in Odaiba Tokyo has been held since 2000 to celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day (16 September).
The event is designed to widen the circle of friendship between Mexico and Japan, as well as to bring Mexico closer to the people of Japan. This year marks the 23rd edition of the event, and there are many events planned to introduce and deepen understanding of Mexico’s attractions for many people!
More than 30 tents are lined up at the venue, where you can experience Mexico without leaving Odaiba, selling folk crafts and local products and tasting some of the Mexican cuisine that has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Intangible Cultural Heritage List. 
On the stage, groups from the Kanto and surrounding prefectures will perform songs and performances, and spectacular folk dances will be performed.And a programme for children including the fun Mexican game ‘Piñata Split(*)’. (* A game in which children smash a pinata filled with sweets to the tune of a song or music).
Also on the theme of Mexico, the Mexican Photography Contest Winners’ Exhibition was held.The Grand Prix winner receives a certificate and a commemorative gift from the Mexican Embassy.                                   
This event can be enjoyed by families and friends of all ages.
