This exhibition commemorates the 110th anniversary of the birth of Shigeru Komatsuzaki, an artist who was active as an illustrator from the early Showa period and dominated the postwar era with his futuristic fantasy paintings, box art, and science fiction drawings.
Shigeru Komatsuzaki’s works continued to give dreams and hopes to postwar boys and girls, and even decades later, they have not faded away.
This will be the first solo exhibition in his hometown of Kashiwa in about 30 years, and with the cooperation of many people, we will exhibit original drawings and other works that are not usually available for viewing. We hope you will take this opportunity to view them.
