UTSUWA TO KURASHI ICHI in Tokyo vol.2

Living with Japanese Beauty: One of Japan’s Largest Ceramics Markets “UTSUWA TO KURASHI ICHI in Tokyo vol.2”
1. Background: Experience Japan’s Rich “Yakimono” Culture
This event is a rare opportunity in Tokyo to experience the ceramic heritage of the Tokai region (Aichi, Gifu, and Mie prefectures), Japan’s premier pottery hub. You can find a vast collection of “Yakimono” (ceramics), including the legendary Seto and Tokoname wares—two of Japan’s “Six Ancient Kilns”—as well as Mino ware. With over 200 booths, you can choose from simple items for daily use to unique artistic pieces crafted by master artisans.

2. Exploring the 5 Zones
The venue is organized into five zones, offering a comprehensive look at the modern Japanese lifestyle.
Utsuwa (Ceramics) Zone: The main area featuring 110 booths by kilns and independent artists. It offers a deep dive into Japanese dining culture through various styles of pottery.
Hana to Midori (Flower & Greenery) Zone: A new area showcasing plants, seasonal flowers, and aesthetic flower vases (flower bases) that enhance home living.
Kurashi (Lifestyle) Zone: Explore carefully selected Japanese daily goods, antiques, and vintage items. Craft workshops are also available for hands-on experience.
Food Truck Zone: Enjoy modern Japanese street food from various food trucks, alongside artisanal baked goods, bread, and beverages.
Live Performance: Relax in the open park atmosphere with live musical instruments and soap bubble performances.

3. Access Guide
The venue is located in Showa Kinen Park, easily accessible by train from central Tokyo. Please head for the “Akebono Gate” (あけぼの口) of the park.
From JR Tachikawa Station: Approx. 10-minute walk from the North Exit to Akebono Gate.
From Tachikawa-Kita Station (Monorail): Approx. 8-minute walk from the Koen-guchi Exit to Akebono Gate.
Venue Location: The event is held at the plaza (Midori-no-Bunka Zone) immediately inside the Akebono Gate.
