Mucha is most famous for his posters, but at different points in his life he created magnificent spiritual works that held messages for his Czech homeland and fellow Christians, particularly the magnum opus of his later years, the Slav Epic series, and his religious-themed artworks. This exhibition tries to unravel the beliefs that Mucha carried throughout his artistic career and what he tried to tell people through his art, with a particular focus on Harmony, a large oil painting from our collection.
