Animated 30th Anniversary Project Chibi Maruko-chan Exhibition (Kochi)

“Chibi Maruko-chan,” which was serialized in the girls’ manga magazine “Ribon” (Shueisha) in 1986, began broadcasting anime in 1990 and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2020. It depicts the bright and humorous daily life of Maru-chan and her friends, and the living room on Sunday evening, which is the broadcast time, is filled with laughter.

In 1990, the ending song “Odoru Pompokorin” recorded million sales and won the Japan Record Awards and recorded high audience rating of 39.9% in the anime category (based on measurements since 1977 / Kanto area / Video Research survey), and it became a national animation.
