Along the Tokaido Through Ukiyo-e: Scenes of Suruga Second Exhibition: Hiroshige: Not Just Landscapes

Central Shizuoka Prefecture, a large area of which was known as Suruga Province during the Edo period, is home to a number of famous places, including historical sites and majestic landscapes like Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. This exhibition presents a number of ukiyo-e prints by Utagawa Hiroshige, mainly from his various Tokaido series, that depict the landscapes between Numazu and Shimada in old Suruga.
