This festival is held on the south side of Mt.Akagi. More than 1,000 cherry trees line the municipal road for over 2 kilometers. The road varies in elevation from 430 meters to 550 meters sea level, and so the cherry blossoms bloom not all at the same time. In other words, you can enjoy blossoms for a period of weeks. Since the cherry trees are planted on the both sides of the road, when they bloom, you travel through a tunnel of cherry blossoms.
