During the Nara period, a rich international culture was introduced to Japan from the Tang Dynasty, and its own culture and art blossomed in Nara. And the general term for a wide variety of performing arts such as performing arts ~ miscellaneous skills (imitation, light work, acrobatics), music, dance, etc. that came to ancient Japan from mainland China is called “scattered / 100 plays”.
As a modern sagaku, first-class street performers gather and compete for a prize of 1 million yen in the “Hyakugi-Oh Finals”.
