The Ishikawa Traditional Crafts Fair 2026 will be held from Friday, February 6 to Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Tokyo International Forum B1 Lobby Gallery. Admission is free, with a special invitation opening on the first day followed by general entry, and the event concluding at 4:00 p.m. on the final day.
This annual celebration brings together roughly 15,000 carefully selected works from 36 traditional craft areas across Ishikawa Prefecture. The fair’s “PRIDE Street” exhibition features a wide range of pieces, including individual showcases, artisan works, and designer collections, offering visitors a broad view of contemporary craft expression.
Included in the fair is the “ISHIKAWA REBORN” exhibit, which highlights new creations and revitalization efforts from craft communities affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, allowing visitors to appreciate both tradition and resilience.
Craft workshops—such as Kaga maki-e lacquer, Kaga embroidery, yuzen dyeing, and Wajima lacquer inlay—offer hands-on experiences, and special shows enhance the event program. Early visitors who reserve in advance may receive a traditional craft gift (limited to the first 500).
Positioned as a space where artisans’ pride meets the values of today’s users, this fair appeals to craft enthusiasts and anyone interested in lifestyle culture.
