Koyasan Tokyobetsuin Autumn Kongokai Kechien Kanjyo

Kechien Kanjo is a key Shingon Buddhist ritual of initiation available to anyone. In it you are led to a mandala to toss a flower onto it while blindfolded, thus establishing a deep bond with the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of that mandala. After that, a Shingon master anoints your head with the waters of the Buddha’s wisdom. This initiation creates a deep bond with the perfect mandala world of the Buddhas, and can open the mind to the pure wisdom contained originally within each being, waiting to be realized.
