Yawaragi Road (Nanatanigawa riverside) 2020

Some 1,500 cherry trees stretch for a kilometer along the Nanatanigawa River (Yawaragi no Michi). When in full bloom in spring, it is the Tamba region’s most famous cherry blossom spot and has visitors coming daily. The adjacent Sakura Koen park features 280 cherry trees in 28 different varieties. Nearby you’ll find temples on the Tamba Shichifukujin-meguri tour, Tambakoku-ichinomiya Temple, Izumo Daijingu Shrine, and other tourist spots.
