State Ballet of Georgia “The Nutcracker” (Koriyama)

For the first time in 12 years, legendary ballerina Nina Ananiashvili returns to Japan with a ballet company, now a towering force, that she’s fostered for 20 years.

Ballet in Two Acts
Staging Choreographers: Alexey Fadeechev and Nina Ananiashvili
Music: Pyotr Tchaikovsky

It is Christmas Eve. Young Barbare is at a Christmas house party. The kids are excited for presents from Drosselmeyer, and Barbare’s favorite is the Nutcracker. The party ends, and in the middle of the night, a war suddenly breaks out between the Mouse King and the dolls. While the Nutcracker is attacked, Barbare’s brave actions chase the Mouse King away, and the Nutcracker transformed into a prince, and they live a dream in a kingdom of sweets.
The production comes from the State Ballet of Georgia, as originally set in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Experience colorful, romantic fantasies with Georgian tastes of stages sets and costumes.
