We are now accepting participants for the “Charity Run & Walk DAN DAN RUN”, an event aimed at supporting refugees who have fled to Japan. The event will be held in May 2025!
“DAN DAN RUN” is organized annually by the DAN DAN RUN Executive Committee, which is primarily made up of volunteers, with the cooperation of the certified NPO, Japan Association for Refugees (JAR)(https://www.refugee.or.jp/). This year marks the memorable 10th edition of the event.
There are two ways to participate: on-site and online. We warmly welcome you to join us with your family and friends!

【On-Site Participation】
Date & Time: Sunday, May 25, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
*No cancellations for rain, only cancellations for storms
Location: Toyosu Gururi Park （Google Map）（Access）
Highlights:
-Enjoy a refreshing seaside course with views of the Rainbow Bridge
-The walk (3km / 5km) includes a quiz to deepen your knowledge about refugees
-For the run, choose from four courses: 1.6km, 3.2km, 5km, or 10km — each offers a unique way to enjoy the event
-After the race, enjoy a talk show by JAR staff and a prize raffle
【Online Participation】
Event Period: Saturday, May 17 – Sunday, May 25
*Details for the online opening ceremony (pre-event celebration) will be announced later.
Highlights:
-Choose between 5km and10km, and aim to reach your goal at your preferred time and place during the event period using your own fitness app to track distance
-Participants who complete their goal will be entered into a prize draw
-During the online opening ceremony, JAR staff will talk about the current situation of refugees in Japan and their support work. There will also be time for participants to ask questions directly
