UTSUWATO KURASHI ICHI in Tokyo Hikarigaoka Park

〇Purpose of the event
There are many ceramic production areas throughout Japan, including the “Six Ancient Kilns of Japan” (Echizen, Seto, Tokoname, Shigaraki, Tamba, Bizen), which have been producing ceramics since the Middle Ages.
Of the three Tokai prefectures (Aichi, Gifu, and Mie), Seto and Tokoname are known as Japan’s leading pottery regions because of the high-quality porcelain clay they produce.
The “UTSUWATO KURASHI ICHI ” aims to let more people know about the appeal of the pottery from the three Tokai prefectures and to encourage people to touch and use it more often on a daily basis.
Please look forward to encountering wonderful ceramics at this event.

〇What is the 「UTSUWATO KURASHI ICHI」
The Tokai area where we live is home to many famous potteries such as Tokoname ware, Seto ware, and Mino ware.
This event has gathered a wonderful selection of tableware that will add color to your dining table and enrich your soul, from plates that exude warmth to pieces by artists that highlight the individuality of their makers.
In addition, there will be tools, plants, and food trucks that will help you live a more mindful life, as well as a “Coffee and Baked Goods Street” that will offer a selection of delicious, carefully selected coffees and baked goods.
Enjoy wonderful music and soap bubble performances while you shop.
