Iwami Kagura at the National Theatre Come see 50 Orochi!

There will be an Iwami Kagura performance at the National Theatre, said to be one of the greatest theatres in all of Japan, on Tuesday, August 25th, the opening day of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
[Orochi] is very popular amongst the locals, and is one of the staple programs for performances overseas. With 50 wriggling, writhing, and rampaging Orochi, this stunning program at the National Theatre (Large Theatre) will overcome language barriers and be an event that people of all ages can enjoy. This, as well as the other programs are loved by the local communities and were put together by the Hamada Iwami Kagura Troupe Liaison Council. Feel excitement from the light movements and musical accompaniments, and enjoy the heroic and dynamic dances found in the performances of Iwami Kagura.
